وفي قصة حلم البطة السوداء نجد البطة تعاني من عدم القبول والإقصاء ، فتحاول أن تبحث عن هذا القبول، وتجده من آخرين يعوضون لها ضياع الوطن. وفي قصة يحلق وهو خاطف لظله تشتغل على معنى القبول أيضا والبحث عن الصداقة، مع التأكيد على أن كل قصة لها أكثر من وجهة نظر للنظر إليها، وللحقيقة وجوه أخرى، فالنسر الذي يهدد الأرنب هو أيضا مضطرا للبحث عن طعام لصغاره، والحذر الذي التزم به الأرنب أنجاه من مخالب النسر، والعصفور الصغير يمكن أن يكون أكثر حكمة من النسر وهكذا .
في حين أن قصة بسمة والحورية تقوي الهوية الجنسية عند الفتيات، وتعمل على تقوية وعيهن بذواتهن حتى لا قعن في الفخ.
